Producing threads quickly, precisely, and cost-effectively is exactly why we at HÖHN use thread rolling. This process is particularly well-suited for components that require high thread strength, clean surfaces, and consistent quality.
We manufacture components using CNC turning and CNC milling, among other methods, before thread rolling is performed as a subsequent process.
Unlike machining processes, thread rolling does not cut the thread but creates it through forming. The material is pressed into the desired thread shape. This preserves the grain structure of the material and gives the thread particularly high load-bearing capacity.
Thread rolling offers decisive advantages, especially for series production and higher quantities: short machining times, consistent quality, and highly cost-effective production.
Through the combination of modern technology, experience, and a versatile machine park, we can efficiently and reliably produce threads directly on your components. Additionally, threads can be optimized for corrosion protection and functionality through suitable finishing processes.
Thread rolling is used in particular for:
Thread rolling is often a component of complex assemblies and is integrated into complete systems as part of our assembly process.

Thread rolling is a non-cutting forming process used to produce external threads. In this process, the thread is not cut but rather formed into the material using high pressure and special rolling tools. The material undergoes plastic deformation and is displaced into the desired thread shape. This preserves the material structure, making the thread particularly strong and durable.
The process enables high-strength threads, smooth surfaces, high dimensional accuracy, and material-friendly manufacturing without chip formation.
Since the material fibers are not severed but rather compacted during rolling, the resulting threads are particularly strong and wear-resistant.
We use semi-automatic machines from well-known manufacturers such as PEEWEE and Profi-Roll.
